On behalf of @lwvus.bsky.social, we're suing to end this anti-voter policy.

NEW: We just sent a letter, along with 8 other groups, urging the House to swiftly move forward with the Restore Trust in Congress Act, a congressional stock trading ban with bipartisan support.

There is no reason to delay this important reform.

The League of Women Voters registered tens of thousands of new Americans at naturalization ceremonies every year -- until a new USCIS rule told them they couldn't do that anymore. The First Amendment protects the League's right to conduct this essential civic engagement activity. So we're suing.
BREAKING: We're suing to block a new Trump admin policy that bans nonpartisan civic engagement groups like @lwvus.bsky.social from registering new American citizens to vote at naturalization ceremonies. This is a clear violation of the First Amendment and federal law.
