Agents will effectively move every developer to the manager's schedule and this is going to change the perceived pleasantness of the job for most developers.

For some weird CMS reason, the local paper dumps all of their highschool sports coverage on the same day each week and every spot on the homepage is covered with volleyball scores until it flushes out.
Hire a few reporters to write almost exclusively about high school sports and new restaurants opening with every 5th article about how local policy affects people
3. Here's a page you should bookmark: It's the directory of nonprofit newsrooms that belong to the Institute for Nonprofit News. You can look for locality covered, including national newsrooms. It's so rich: explore! Find your niche!

My big picture view is that shifting our culture to find meaning primarily outside of work will be challenging, and it is a transition worth going through.

Hot take: I don't think SaaS is dead (too much value in It Just Works and Having A Guy To Yell At), but I do think 80% margins on SaaS products are dead

cold? compared to what?
The "cold uncaring universe" line treats consciousness and feeling as somehow external to the cosmos, a weird fluke hovering above the "real" machinery of physics.

The only Wisconsin Mesonet stations still above -10 F right now are basking at -8 to -9.6 in the lake effect along Lake Michigan (South Milwaukee and 3 in Door County, lake is only frozen locally along the shoreline). And Knight, SW of Hurley in northern Wisconsin, is at -33.1 F. wisconet.wisc.edu

Once again, Congress, under both parties, created an imperial presidency from WWII onward that depended entirely on shared norms about democracy/the rule of law & not abusing that delegated executive authority that no longer exists. When we get through this, <all> of these things need to go.
In a 1983 opinion by Ted Olson(!), DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel concluded that assigning JAG lawyers to serve as Special Assistant U.S. Attorneys violated a statute that bans military officers from exercising the duties of a civil office.

Then, Congress authorized it.

This is dumb—but legal.
SCOOP: As the National Guard takes over the streets of DC, military officers are now going to be detailed to prosecute civilian criminal cases for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia www.nbcnews.com/politics/jus...

This beautiful #Roman enamelled copper alloy flask in hexagonal shape was found in Welzheim.
The small vessel was a product of a workshop in Britain or Gaul and was presumably used to hold perfume.
Dating 2. century AD.
