After Ilhan Omar & I discussed Charlie Kirk’s assassination, that both of us condemned, conservatives screenshotted an unrelated part of the convo where we were momentarily smiling & ridiculously claimed we were ‘celebrating’ his death.

It’s an easy enough, & very cynical, trick to play. 🤷🏽‍♂️

It's odd that Republicans can do the mental gymnastics to link Tylenol to autism, but not link gun deaths to guns.

Putin not Musk is probably the richest man on earth but that only makes the point stronger — control of media by oligarchs leads to folly, fascism, and war
The richest man on earth owns X.

The second richest man on earth is about to be a major owner of TikTok.

The third richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post.

See the problem here?

And completely ignorant about the basics of World War 2. Sheesh.
JD Vance: "This is how wars ultimately get settled. If you go back to World War 2, if you go back to every major conflict in human history, they all end with some kind of negotiation."

American citizens must hold the line against fascism. They have the opportunity to stop what seems inevitable but must stop playing nice.

I researched every attempt to stop fascism in history. The success rate is 0%.
Once they win elections, it's already too late.

They want you to be talking about a Sydney Sweeney ad and a Cracker Barrel logo weeks after they gave billionaires a trillion-dollar tax cut paid for by ripping away health care from you and your family.

And somehow, everyone's just going along with it.

Lest anyone doubt that Trump remains Putin’s bitch . . . .er, puppet as the American tanks Russia captured from Zelensky’s army fly the flags of both 🇺🇸 and 🇷🇺 as they attack Ukraine 🇺🇦, here’s what treasonous U.S. betrayal of an ally while selling us out looks like:

Private equity moguls owe their investors $1.5 trillion.

And so those moguls just got Donald Trump to issue an executive order making it easier for them to bail themselves out with the retirement money in your 401k account.

The biggest contributor to rising producer prices is profit margins. After a year of tariff talk, corporate America thinks the country's softened up for price hikes, even if their input costs aren't higher. There's no way Trump will do anything about this. Wall St will get fat while you suffer.
Greedflation Is Back as Corporations Use the Tariff Excuse to Hike Prices
The producer price index had bad higher-than-expected numbers today. But much of the increase was due to higher profit margins. And why wouldn't it show that? That's what Trump wants.

I grew up in the era of "it's the economy, stupid" - the idea being that political engagement is determined by voters' experience of the economy.

I dunno if thats the case today. Oligarch media succeeded in making the culture war the only thing most folks care about - as oligarchs steal everything.

2/4. The entire practice of the Holocaust of the Jews involved zones of statelessness. It is easier to move people away from law than it is to remove law from people. Almost all of the killing took place in artificially created stateless zones.
