On a recent visit to a Hamilton museum, I found a memorial to one of the few RHLI officers who escaped the Dieppe landings. Interestingly showing a rare mid-20th-century Canadian Army battle flag. I think this is the first 'real' one I have seen. @forrestpass.bsky.social @otdmilhistory.bsky.social

I was really excited to join a special tour of Clapham South Deep Level Shelter this afternoon with IWM's patrons. A fascinating history beyond the Second World War, with an afterlife including being a hostel and labour exchange for those on the Windrush, and a hotel for the Festival of Britain

I thought the unique third Scottish verdict was abolished in the early 18th century but juries just kept on returning it nonetheless?

A deeply weird but unmissable series.
It was one of the most psychedelic, bizarre and beloved Canadian children's shows ever made.
Structured like a sketch comedy show around the comedic genius of Billy Van, it is well remembered even to this day.
This is the story of The Hilarious House of Frightenstein!

Magnificent 2,000 year old design.
Was it lost, hoarded or simply thrown away, 2000 years ago.

So many questions it now presents, this coin of the Iceni.

I'm well chuffed to be it's guardian for now 🤗
