Sorry, I refuse to be afraid. Despair is not an option.
This is perhaps the most dangerous geopolitical event I've ever witnessed in my adult lifetime. This meeting of Zelenskyy at the White House. If you care about your children, and their future, you should be deadly afraid.

Despair is not an option!
We are one step away from becoming a Dictatorship.

As soon as The Judicial Branch (Roberts & Supreme Court ) hands over The Power of the Purse to the Executive Branch (Trump)....

It is over.
He & only he decides what to do with our money and our country. It will be his then.
He will burn down whatever he can, however he can

Our systems of governance, rule of law, global alliances, even the Constitution.

Consumed by vengeance and greed, he is the greatest threat to our Republic since its founding.

We must meet this moment with the force of a thousand suns.

Or perish.

If he thought he could make WAY MORE MONEY on Doge, he might not care about the Tesla losses. Follow the money.
Tesla’s shareholders just lost another $38,640,000,000 today — a total $TSLA loss of $600 billion since December.

Tesla’s CEO was not in the office.

In literally any other public company ever, this would be the point where the CEO gets fired.

It’s all about the Benjamins. Follow the money, leave the distractions.

He’s more like a Don. Don-Don.
Trump isn’t just acting like a president—he’s acting like a king. From forcing bad deals on Ukraine to calling himself "LONG LIVE THE KING," his delusions of grandeur are more dangerous than ever. It’s time to wake up and push back.

This is all performative. DOGE is designed to make a lot of money for Musk at the expense of the U.S. taxpayer and the freedom of its citizens by training Grok or a derivative on confidential information in databases of the US government that were designed not to be shared or exploited.
DOGE is inflating its savings claims. DOGE counts fully paid contracts as “savings.”

Elon Musk’s U.S. DOGE Service says it has saved $55 billion by cutting jobs, canceling contracts, and renegotiating leases. But a closer look suggests that number is misleading.

The Rule of Law was birthed to promote exchanges of goods and services and has expanded as a norm to live together, provide for the common defense and public order, and public health, etc. Replacing it with a Rule of Whim is bound to have bad effects for everyone, particularly business.

Good old days!
Happy Presidents' Day to the two best presidents of my lifetime.

Like the old saying goes, “Lead, follow or get out of the way!"
If you claim to be a leader but are too scared to lead, fine -- sit down and let someone else take your place. It is easy to be bold when there is no threat.

Now is a time for courage.

I’ll take the bureaucrats over the politically oriented technocrats any day.
Not shockingly, every aspect of "fraud" Elon is"finding" are perfectly valid things he is misrepresenting.
February 16, 2025 at 4:02 AM
Perhaps, but I think the more significant cage match may be Trump v. Putin after a period where they try to divide the world between them and Xi. Ukraine for Denmark, that sort of thing. Musk could be the go-between or mediator between the three, since he has independent ties to each and wealth.
The biggest cage match ever will be between Musk and Trump. Elon will try to implement AI in a manner that automates much of what Trump is now trying to control.

Trump will have no understanding of what is going on and will have to turn to the AI oligarchs to support him in this battle.

Worthwhile post.
AUSA Hagan Scotten, former clerk for John Roberts, really put some mustard on his resignation letter.

Also, to curry favor with the big kid. For a while, they could divide up the playground between them until the moment came when he could finally bully the big kid himself.
Donald Trump once saw a bully beating up a kid for his lunch money. So he interceded and told the little kid, "Give him your lunch money."

And the little kid gave the big kid his lunch money.

The Trump went around praising himself for bringing peace to the playground.

Yes, this is an analogy.

Mitch Jackson rightly points out, the end game of the dismissal is domination. Think about it. If there is a multi-verse, Trump will seek a way to dominate it to. That is what is happening. Full stop.
They didn’t drop the case because Eric Adams was innocent—they dropped it because keeping him guilty gives them power. Trump’s DOJ just turned justice into a bargaining chip, and if that doesn’t make you furious, you’re not paying attention. My Thursday night thoughts... whtwnd.com/did:plc:ycbo...

Maybe the President napped through the refs’ calls last night at the Superbowl. If one team refused to respect the refs' calls, the game couldn’t have gone on. It's the point of umpires, referees and judges. It works for American football. It’s also good for American justice. Let’s cut the baloney.

It’s a slippery slope once you bend the knee and hope you have bought “peace in your time."
“.. Welcome to the golden age of reverse philanthropy, an era in which America’s richest barons, who were once committed to funding medical research, the arts, and international aid, are now hanging such fields out to dry.”

This is a defining moment, just as portrayed in the film 'Gladiator Two'.
Exactly. It's not just Trump who is destroying democracy. It's Elon and Peter Thiel and the rest of the tech bros who own Trump and Vance and half of Congress. Please read - it's long but VITAL to understanding the coup that is underway.
February 10, 2025 at 6:31 PM
It’s like one of the Superbowl teams refusing to honor the ref’s calls. How can you finish the game?
This is not just a musing from a dude with some various ideas. The next step is to hollow out the judiciary and also not follow their rulings, which have been against Musk’s efforts. This is a very obvious coup, for those not paying attention.

We can do recounts and still have a peaceful transfer of power. Recounts of digital results should be a No Brainer. It doesn’t make anyone a poor loser or disloyal to the peaceful transfer of power to the (legitimate) winner.

Viktor Orban mucked Fascism out of the sewers of Europe. Others wrote it up as Project 2025. America created the Declaration of Independence. Renew democracy! Our collective and individual actions matter. Big and small alike.
As we approach #America250, its important to remember:

it took 92 years to end slavery

it took women 144 years to win the vote

it took nearly 190 years for Black people to be guaranteed voting rights

it took nearly 240 years to legalize same-sex marriage

don't give up

our ancestors didn't
