This is a really interesting podcast by Robyn Bresnahan on the Lansdowne 2.0 decision and the dynamics surrounding it. Interestingly, a decision almost totally driven by yes votes from suburban councillors. The suburbs deciding the fate of urban wards.

Council appears set to disregard informed public opinion today, so OSEG will be the winner here. Question now is whether there will be any political fallout next year.

Did the interests of women's hockey fans get any consideration here? The effect of the Lansdowne 2.0 proposal is there are will be far fewer opportunities to watch a game, and the tickets will be more expensive. A world class improvement indeed.
