This frenetic impulse to quash humanitarian aid impiies Dickens, Chaplin, Steinbeck, Conrad have been completely ignored. I can only suppose millions of Americans don't read and/or are obsessed with pseudo-reality & game shows, horror & action movies, video games, sports events, ... The Coiosseum.

We need to be better listeners in the Palestinian/Israeli conflict.
This morning I went to a lecture describing the level of death, suffering, and destruction in Palestine. It really helped me understand why Evangelical Christians support Israel.

Sometimes when people ask me why I’m wearing a mask I say I’m traveling or have some important thing soon and can’t afford to get sick and miss it and that’s pretty much always true but I think it would be nice if it were more normalized to just say “I don’t want to get sick” and leave it at that
