You've heard of private equity, but what about private credit? Here's a little insight into a booming market that's subject to minimal, if any, formal regulation. Never was "caveat emptor" more appropriate. #auspol

Willfully ignoring science - especially in vital areas like health, safety, defense, education, climate, and the economy - is a recipe for disaster. We are crippling our nation by dumbing down our children, just to coddle those who are fearfully insecure in their religious faith.

And that answer is universal basic income and healthcare, together, as a combo. We need to start banging that drum incessantly.
AI's economic impact is complex, disrupting jobs but not erasing all. Universal basic income can help us adapt.
AI impacts jobs but won't erase all; universal basic income can help navigate disruptions in the economy.

Here's a great piece on Australia's #Zionist cohort's stupendous own goal of turning the word #antisemitism into a meaningless right-wing meme...

The boy who cried antisemitism
For two years, we’ve been told Australia is drowning in antisemitism. Every protest for Palestinian human rights, every mural, every chant criticising Israel has been hauled up as “evidence.”

Since we're all heartily sick of marvelling at clown prince performances from #DonaldTrump, I thought it might be amusing to post this from #MichaelWest...

You know what we could have instead of this nonsense?

UBI. That’s what we could have.
One of, if not the most popular thing Trump did during Trump 1.0 was to give $ to people as a stimulus. So, it's no surprise that he is now promoting:
*A check to everyone as a "tariff rebate"
*Direct funds instead of subsidies for health insurance

People love getting money.

Is it possible that the US Supreme Court justices whom #Trump finagled onto its bench, plus some others, might find against #POTUS on his swingeing tariffs? Apparently so.

Supreme Court appears skeptical of legality of most of Trump’s tariffs
The Supreme Court held arguments on one of the most important cases of its term, testing whether the president has authority to impose wide-ranging tariffs.

Really? Perhaps, but let's face it: America & the world were doomed the instant #Biden decided not to keep his promise to quit after one term. Any "advisers" who urged him to go for another term were spectacularly wrong.

So much for Trump’s accusation that Biden’s pardons are invalid because he used an auto pen!!! He doesn’t even know who he has pardoned ‼️‼️‼️

The Nationals will shift their focus to climate adaptation instead of being “focused solely” on reducing emissions.

This is what policy defeatism looks like - we can't do much on our own, so why even try?

In case you missed it, Trump has established and normalized his ability to illegally kill people in the Caribbean and Pacific oceans. Now he is threatening to do the same in Africa. He has destroyed our rule of law and is exercising our nation's power to destroy it around it the world.

Thanks GOP!

I keep wondering: when will the American people realise that displays of monumental ignorance by #POTUS are not, in fact, useful in making their lives better.
