Pittsburgh’s population rose by about 1% in 2024 going from 304,766 in 2023 to 307,668 in 2024, according to new estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau.

This is the second straight year that Pittsburgh’s had a population uptick. But this year’s gains were greater — adding about 2,902 residents.
