I don’t necessarily think anything needs to be regulated herein. Nobody is forcing anyone to use X, Meta, etc.. I am more concerned about govts. & infrastructure providers (like ISPs) who make it difficult for alternatives to viably exist or individuals to self-host their own internet presences.

Why would anyone want these govts. getting even more power & control over free networking, communications, & information if they’re supposedly guilty of grotesquely over-stepping boundaries, abusing power, & being complicit in censorship & disinformation? That’s like arming a known school shooter.

There just smth deeply uncool & shitty about whining to governments re fake CSEM & demanding smth be done about it. “Hall monitor” type behavior. Esp. on networks ostensibly anti-censorship & state-suspicious. Esp. while these same people argue that these same govts. are doing supremely evil shit.

It’s kind of a shame bc the Vision Pro is such a good VR setup—genuinely knocks out basically all its competition outside of price. It’s just that VR was never really a thing that took off. Kind of a COVID-era idea.

These are 2 completely different issues. Greenland is a territory of Denmark, a sovereign country & NATO member-state. Taiwan is a province of China. These 2 things aren’t even comparable.
