If you think the US was in anyway "peaceful" prior to trump, it's likely because you were/are shielded by some level of privilege. For marginalized people at home and millions of people overseas, hatred and conflict are a defining characteristic of the USA.

I realized during DeBlasio's administration that civilian controls against militarized police forces were illusory. Local governments have no real authority against people who have guns and the power to legally kill anybody they really want dead. I'll bet 90% of local pols know this, too.

Who really runs these counties? Politicians gave blank checks to police and are now learning the genie is out of the bottle.

After ICE agents shot people in Minneapolis tonight, a crowd faced them down and eventually chased them away, despite federal mercenaries and police shooting a tremendous amount of tear gas.

ICE agents abandoned vehicles in the area, containing IDs, paperwork, license plates, and operational plans.

This fucking liberal is telling you that the master's tools can be used to demolish his house.

She doesn't believe it, btw.

She just has to keep a critical mass of people from coming to understand that the system itself is the enemy. That's her job. To keep us all inline while we're crushed.
Gov. Kathy Hochul endorsed legislation that would allow New York residents to sue ICE agents in state court for civil rights violations, an escalation of efforts by Democratic-led states to rein in the agency.

Trump just said international law does not matter to him.

Boycott USA.

Boycott our products.

That is an argument that assumes it's an inherent moral good to defend the empire. The US is a fascist country and our military is a fascist military. Spoiling their attempts to overthrow and conquer other nations by publishing a loud warning to the public is an OBVIOUS moral good.
