This is a good example of how Trump’s obsession with exaggerated/fake news forms his initial point of view on a subject and then, when confronted with actual facts, he’s basically forced to change course on a major policy initiative.

The right’s obsession with holding onto their guns in case they need to defend themselves against a hostile government is a misrecognition of their true desirec which is to facilitate violence on others through a hostile government
Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.

They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

To my mind, what we need is not a “female” gaze, but a feminist one. I have a confession: I’m getting sick of all the cultural conversation about “girlhood.”  Perhaps this is a bad position fo…

Many stopped waiting and hoping in 2020. Some did before the first of two impeachments. I did when he published that newspaper ad condemning five innocent young men. We need to be honest about why others still support this incompetent, divisive, lying hypocrite. That is the real question.

We keep waiting — hoping — that somehow Trump will act presidential in the face of a tragedy. This day will never come. His playbook was and is race baiting. Nothing more.

The thing about Trump is he provides equal opportunity to all grifters even remotely close to his orbit. That has always involved the press, no matter whether they fall on the ideological spectrum.
Scoop: Privately, there are both tensions and a quiet sense of optimism among the White House press corps around covering Trump 2.0. WHCA prez Eugene Daniels traveled down to Mar-a-Lago to address concerns with the Trump transition team www.cjr.org/political_pr...

I was out in the backyard when the local wolf chorus started up. Such an amazing sound. There was one calling from north east of my cottage and the pack was answering from the southwest. I apologize for my breathing. I had to run into the house and find my phone. I’m still vibrating.
