"Trash bug" lacewing larvae feed on mealybugs and then use the mealybugs' wax for camouflage. But mealybugs can fight back with "reflex bleeding," oozing fluid that gums up the lacewing's mouth. Entomologist @erincpow.bsky.social captures one-of-a-kind photos and video of this behavior.

As a science-society PIO who regularly responds to journalists looking for experts, I can vouch for this advice. Google yourself and make sure your current contact info is easy to find. Better yet, have a profile page that sums up your areas of study/expertise, links to your social media, etc.

Put your email in a place where we can find it. The email on your paper is defunct and from your postdoc. You don't have a current website since you moved unis.
