It's like removing people's secretaries and giving them computers they struggled to use or typed on with just two fingers.
One more thing. It’s a classic trap to think that sacking administrators means more focus on ‘front line care’. Very often it means the opposite. It means doctors have to do the admin, which they’re not very good at.

Another consideration is that many companies struggle to accurately assess competence, often relying on the prestige of a college degree, especially from elite universities, as a selection factor in hiring.
In business and in many other areas of life, a lot of confusion comes down to correctly distinguishing the difference between selection and treatment effects.

I couldn't find a good explainer today, so I made one.
