🇺🇸 From the Alien & Sedition Acts to the Chinese Exclusion Act, and Great Depression raids, America’s history of immigration crackdowns runs deep.

And the echoes of these decisions are still with us.

A bus of Bronx middle schoolers pulled up to the Capitol this morning for a long-planned field trip just a few hours after the government shut down.

All Capitol tours were cancelled as the guides can’t work in shutdown.

So I escorted them in myself and gave them a personal tour. They were great!

once more for the weekend, enjoy me having way too many thoughts about an closed alpha test
My 7000+ word blog about the Marathon closed alpha, which I played for about 20 hours. I walked away from it feeling very conflicted because it is simultaneously one of the insanely coolest things I've played, while also being one of the most frustratingly indecisive.

1. LLM-generated code tries to run code from online software packages. Which is normal but
2. The packages don’t exist. Which would normally cause an error but
3. Nefarious people have made malware under the package names that LLMs make up most often. So
4. Now the LLM code points to malware.
LLMs hallucinating nonexistent software packages with plausible names leads to a new malware vulnerability: "slopsquatting."
LLMs can't stop making up software dependencies and sabotaging everything
: Hallucinated package names fuel 'slopsquatting'

Today missed being Easter by 22 minutes.

Gregorian Calendar’s definition: First Sunday after the first Full Moon after the March Equinox. If the Full Moon had occurred 22 minutes earlier, landing yesterday (GMT), then today would have been that first Sunday.

The year is 2044 and elections are being held between Earth President James Milktoast and Revulon, Hordemaster of the invading Arachni Host.

Reporter: Ken who are you voting for?

Me: I’m undecided.

Reporter: Isn’t Revulon saying he will eat all humans?
