Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

I think it is WILD to think Blanc leaves no less interested in Christianity. I cannot imagine being so low context that you can only assume people’s motives and thoughts from their explicit words (and then only when bad)
The Gospel Coalition’s Review of Jesus’ interaction with The Rich Young Ruler:

“The Rich Young Ruler leaves Jesus as disinterested in Christianity as he was at the start. What he sees from Jesus is not compelling. It’s woke, corrupted, audience-pleasing justice Christianity, not true Christianity.”

Hot take: ‘Blue Christmas’ is just evangelicals and exvangelicals not realizing that there is an entire liturgical season called Lent to healthily process the ‘Blue’ emotions after Christmas.

Anyone know a church community in Minneapolis that would be interested in hosting me for a couple of book events over a weekend in March (including the Sunday morning)?

Slide into my DM’s please.

My debut book (The Justice of Jesus) has been out for almost 3 months now and it’s still the #1 Bestseller in Liberation Theology on Amazon Canada.

To say that I’m grateful is an understatement. Thank you, fellow Canadians! 🙏🏽

Look folks - I get that talking about the history of racism and colonialism can be deeply uncomfortable. But do you know what’s way more uncomfortable than talking about the history of racism and colonialism?

Enduring racism and colonialism.

And it’s not even close.

Good morning!

Continuing to find Joash Thomas', new book, The Justice of Jesus, quite provoking:

"Despite being divinely qualified to teach, Jesus did not come solely to dwell among us as a teacher. He came first as a learner.

I like the Anglican liturgy and I love the Catholic liturgy. But the Holy Qurbana liturgy of my St. Thomas Indian Christian ancestors is where I feel most at home.

Mark my words (and I hate to say this):

The election of Zohran Mamdani will lead to a sharp rise in anti-South Asian and Islamophobic hate just like the election of Barack Obama led to a sharp rise in anti-Blackness and Xenophobic hate.
