Here it is.

The Republicans and Trump are demanding that we either put more women in jail for abortion or let them bleed out in hospital parking lots OR they’ll starve this country and bring the working class to its knees.

#Adoptees are diagnosed at higher rates with ADHD due to interaction of genes with environmental stressors such as systemic inequities and trauma related to adoption.

A little sciencey but I was geeking out on the research.

November is National Adoptee Awareness Month. CS Wright reminds us that adoptee and immigrant rights are intertwined, and that reclaiming identity and belonging calls for activism, healing, and solidarity together. 🥚

“Dozens of adoptees have been deported to their countries of birth in recent years, according to the Adoptee Rights Law Center. A man born in South Korea and adopted as a child by an American family—only to be deported to his country of birth because of a criminal record—took his own life in 2017.”
The American adoptees who fear deportation to a country they can't remember
Thousands of US adoptees do not have citizenship despite being brought to the country as babies decades ago. Now many fear deportation.

When an adoptive family has unresolved intergenerational trauma, the adopted child can be drawn into those dynamics, and out of loyalty to the adoptive family system, can take on the suffering or burdens of family members.

Adoption Is Not a Solution for Abortion
Adoption rates in the U.S. are relatively low and steadily decreasing because of cultural changes, not Roe vs. Wade.

the state & failure of women’s healthcare always reminds me that diagnoses of ‘hysteria’ didn’t cease to exist — esp. for women of other marginalised identities — it just goes by different names, different appearances. but the trivialisation & dismissal of women’s pain still very much exists
