It actually struck me in a deep way how little difference there is between teaching habits, boundaries, manners, skills, etc, to a dog versus a human child.
It made me realize that oppressors so often frame oppressed peoples as "animals" because animals are the original, constructed Other.

I don't get this lol. even *if* AI hype were true (it isn't), the problems it causes would be solved by the exact things leftists of almost all stripes have been advocating for for decades. What, materially, would we do differently if we suddenly started believing AI wasn't largely garbage?

After losing one of my best friends to s*icide, it was a way of tackling that grief the best way I knew how & how I ultimately approach those who come and go in our lives.
