Australia needs to be less afraid of people seeking asylum, and more afraid of the foreigners wanting to dig up our resources for free.

🚨BREAKING🚨

Labor has just voted AGAINST granting super to workers under 18.

The Greens amendment would have seen all workers under 18 have the right to superannuation contributions, regardless of how many hours they worked.

So basically; Robodebt but cut out the middle step of driving people to suicide by directly revoking support they need to survive. Glad to see Labor's really stepping up to replace the defunct LNP - Tories will be glad to be rid of these moochers!

A great win today! - Legislative Council passed the #LegaliseCannabis Motion calling for better funding for our Police & Justice systems. STOP confiscating the homes of people who grow a couple of #cannabis plants, & start funding the arrest of the REAL criminals. #wapol #auspol

So the Western Australia Museum Science Week open day, focusing on the marine environment is sponsored by Woodside, who are doing more than any other company in Australia to heat and acidify our oceans, and bleach our reefs.

Woodside Energy’s sponsorship of Science Week is just more greenwashing.

Would a tobacco company sponsor health week?

Woodside’s sponsorship is just as absurd, especially when the emphasis is on the marine environment so badly damaged by their emissions.

The UK will extend voting to 16 year olds (they can already vote in Scottish and Welsh elections). Curious that commentators here don't appear to know that Greens' Senator Steele-John introduced a bill to extend voting to 16 year olds way back in 2018.
