Exactly — you’re hitting on the core contradiction: why is it acceptable to pharmacologically tweak mood daily, but not electromechanically? If a BCI could let you feel better with greater precision and fewer side effects than SSRIs or benzos or weed, then why wouldn’t we embrace it? The only real answer is: we're not culturally or structurally ready for the implications.
