The Albanese Government just approved another huge coal mine- that will make Australia hotter, drier and cause more frequent and extreme disasters.

236 million tonnes of emissions over its life = double Australia's annual emissions, 1200x Vanuatu.

The last stop on the train line of Australia’s social failures: Tales of a homelessness case worker on the NSW South Coast
Life as a homelessness case worker is brutal. You often feel like the last stop on the train line of our country’s social failures. Hardest of all is knowing that people aren’t helped as well as they ...

While coal and gas companies are making millions in profits from burning fossil fuels, it's our communities footing the bill for climate disasters.

A climate disaster levy would make polluters pay for the damage they cause!

If the our government doesn’t do the same, Australian families will be left with massive insurance costs, while the fossil fuel corporates make $billions.

This should be a major scandal.
Let's get this straight.

Adani donates $600k the Qld LNP before election.

After the election, Qld LNP ends legal action over $400 MILLION in unpaid royalties.

Dodgy, dodgy, dodgy. Thread.

The Albanese Government’s constant justification for approving new gas projects is we need gas to “firm renewables.”

Well, good news… turn out we don’t!

So @australianlabor.bsky.social you can stop approving new gas projects.

Time we made them pay

The Albanese Government has decided to risk Victoria's 90 Mile beach so foreign owned gas corporations can explore for gas.

It will be almost entirely FOR EXPORT and our Government will give them the gas FOR FREE.

Japan is reselling more Australian gas than is used in Victoria, NSW, QLD, Tasmania, SA, and the NT COMBINED!

Every year, Australian governments let gas companies export enough gas to supply Australians for 4 years

They export the easier to extract, low cost gas, leaving us with high cost gas

Gas exports drain our affordable reserves, and that gas is never coming back

So instead of requiring gas exporters to supply gas to Australian manufacturers at reasonable prices, the cost would be transferred to taxpayers.

Let’s gas cartel keep price gouging Australians, and taxpayers foot the bill.

Really!?!
