Arthur Frommer, whose “Europe on 5 Dollars a Day” guidebooks revolutionized leisure travel by convincing average Americans to take budget vacations abroad, has died.

He was 95.

“He believed deeply that travel could be an enlightening activity and one that did not require a big budget.”

Conservatives think it's very important to listen to all sides, meaning their side. Guys call us if you have a new idea and we'll listen, right now you're regurgitating the worst ideas of the 20th century and you didn't even bother to come up with new excuses so fuck off a cliff and piss up a rope.

Let's strive to make this a place conservatives would call an "echo chamber." Bluesky is full of diverse voices; the reason *they* hear an echo isn't because there aren't perspectives to hear, it's because they only listen to their own perspectives and we're no longer interested in absorbing it.

The thing about Twitter versus Bluesky is that the right needs liberals on Twitter to make it feel worthwhile, whereas the left doesn’t need conservatives on Bluesky to make it feel worthwhile.

Blocking isn't censorship, it's praxis.

People who argue anyone should be allowed to talk at you however they wish, in your home, are people who aren't allowed in my home.

Blockity block.

If you're a Dem trying to make sense of what the hell happened last week, this would be a GREAT time to give Dave Anthony's & my podcast The West Wing Thing a spin.

We dissect every episode & lay out how its awful centrist politics helped bring us here today. Amazing guests, too
