Lots of wheelchair users prefer tubs to showers.

Tubs can also be made to be more accessible to many via a lift or initial design.

Showers should not be the only option for an accessible bathroom.

Disabled people are not entitled for expecting to be able to access a public restroom.

Disabled people are entitled TO the same level of access as their non-disabled peers.

That one person can drag us into a war without consulting or even notifying Congress, or our allies, or fully explaining to the American people why this is necessary, is absolutely bonkers.

Reminder that Congress has the power to stop all of this. Where the hell are they? Hello?

Being able to get on and off of an airplane as a non-ambulatory wheelchair user should not be so physically invasive.

I often wonder how many non-disabled individuals would be cool with being physically handled by strangers in that way.

Disabled people deserve the same dignity.

The so-called “moderate” GOP position on Medicaid cuts is no cuts above $500 billion.

Hello? That would mean 18 million children and 2 million adults with disabilities lose health care coverage, according to the latest estimates.

What’s “moderate” about that?

So the Republican Party has historically blocked:

-Paid sick leave
-Paid family & medical leave
-Universal childcare
-Universal pre-K
-Expanded Child Tax Credit
-Programs to support reproductive health

And they're wondering why more people aren't having children?

The needs of disabled people are called “special” to make them sound unreasonable and extravagant.

These needs are called “special” so that those opposed to equality can find an excuse not to accommodate for them.

I lost a friend today. They were a beautiful, creative, titan of personality. They struggled with life a lot and kept getting back up.

I am going to miss them powerfully, but aside from the tragedy of dying too young...their memory will be a blessing. One of a kind.

Trump pardoned leaders of the white supremacist, rabidly anti-Semitic terrorist group the Proud Boys. You may know them by their motto “6MWE” — which stands for “6 Million Wasn't Enough.” Yes, they’re referring to the Holocaust.
