US solar generation met 61% of new electricity demand, growing fastest in regions where demand rose most ☀️🇺🇸

The three regions with the largest rises in solar generation – Texas, the Midwest and the Mid-Atlantic – also had the largest rises in electricity demand 📉

Say it with me.

The President of the United States is unstable and unfit to fulfill the responsibilities of his office. The members of his own party must remove him from office immediately. They and only they are accountable for the consequences of his erratic behavior and reckless indifference.

And rapid battery expansion means more evening demand is now being met by stored clean power, underscoring how solar and storage are working together to reshape the power system 🔋

Drag passes the 3-part Miller test: (1) the average person, applying contemporary community standards, wouldn’t find drag appeals to prurient interest; (2) drag doesn’t depict or describe sexual conduct in a patently offensive way per state law; and (3) drag doesn’t lack serious artistic value.
Judge Kacsmaryk rejects challenge by West Texas A&M University's LGBQT club to drag show ban, saying the First Amendment doesn't protect "self-expression in all forms, and certainly not the libertine 'expressive conduct' absolutism envisioned" by the group. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Consider doing the same. Leave your home or office. 10 minutes.

Pass it on.

October 1962. Secretary of State Dean Acheson meets with French President Charles de Gaulle, a NATO ally, to show him photographs of Soviet missiles in Cuba. De Gaulle declines the offer to see the photographs and tells Acheson “The word of the president of the United States is good enough for me."

We’ve driven coal out of New England’s electric generation resource portfolio. What will be the next category of fossil fuel generation that’ll be driven out of the region’s power mix? Oil peakers. I can’t predict when the last oil peaker will be shuttered, but they will be the next domino to fall.
