Definitely check out our Blue Stinger podcast if you’d like but please for the love of god do not drink a 6-pack of Hassy in one sitting. That’s like 1,000 mg of caffeine right there.

tetsuya mizuguchi truly, earnestly believes, with his whole heart and whole mind, that generic vocal trance from 2003 has the power to awaken humanity's shared consciousness and guide us to universal peace. The strength of his conviction is so powerful that it might actually cause this to be true

Can’t go very long without rambling about Blue Stinger on a podcast. @kcradioman.bsky.social was kind enough to enable this deeply troubling habit of ours.
This week we're drinking Hassies, collecting stamps, and getting mildly spooked in Blue Stinger. Join us as we take a look back at this Dreamcast cult classic with @jetbrianradio.bsky.social and @dcenjoyer.bsky.social

NEW: Fun chat with Ball x Pit mastermind Kenny Sun

- Does it matter how I play? Sun: "It is very much a game about pretending that you’re getting better by getting better stats"

Seems to me the solution to enshittification would be unshittification. Like a human-curated search/browsing tool for the parts of the internet still created and maintained by people. Is there enough demand for an early 2000s Google to exist? Is geocities a thing again?

Hot take on the Gen Alpha “6-7” brain rot thing:

Who cares?

We had “wuuhzzuuup” and random Napoleon Dynamite and Ace Ventura quotes and we’re gonna judge? Our brains would have rotted with or without them.

I’ve been on the fence about getting VTMB2 but then I saw its mid-upper 60s metascore. That puts in the same company as Deadly Premonition, Alpha Protocol, the EDF series, Nier, Tokyo Xtreme Racer, and all the other greatest video games ever made.
