Feels like we just got done writing everything for that one (Kev is still recovering).

I also wouldn’t interpret lower ranked games as poorly perceived. Games like Dino Crisis, Demo Racer, Suzuki Alstare, UFC, etc. are all solid. They just weren’t top-of-mind when most people think of the DC.

O cruel world! Why do the good mascots have to die while the East Midlands Railway’s creepy funko puppet lives on?

If you're in the Seattle area, come down to GameCenter in Kent, the 150 line (which goes from downtown Seattle past SouthCenter Mall) drops off right in front! www.gamecenter.gg

Honestly, that’s likely an extremely specific hook for me. I was an intern in a small 1890s office building in Pioneer Square during one of the few holiday snowstorms the city ever actually had. I assume TCR took liberties with the neighborhood itself but the atmosphere might just be enough.

Great review. I was prepared to enjoy VTMB2 on its own terms (as something other than a VTMB-esque RPG) but it sounds like it doesn’t find its own footing, either. Now the only reason I’d get it would be to help placate my homesickness for Seattle. Are the setting’s vibes interesting at least?

On the plus side, when I first saw gambling machines in pubs, it helped me immediately know which places to avoid. Carling and St. George’s flags serve a similar purpose.

When I moved to the UK last year, I was surprised to see these places looked every bit as dire/pervasive as payday loan/cash shops in the US. It’s even worse to think that their predation pales in comparison to online gambling apps. The omnipresence of both is another magnitude of depressing.
