Really disheartening to see a crosswalk signal smashed, and a lot of debris from the car that caused it, on the sidewalk directly in front of an elementary school. The driver can't have been going very slow to have ended up that way. Atlanta has so far to go to get its shit together. #atl #carsewer

@ossoff.senate.gov @ossoff.bsky.social Stay strong. Your constituents are behind you. Hold the line. If Republicans want to make a crap sandwich, let them eat it.

@warnock.senate.gov Stay strong, Senator. Don't cave.

If that play at the plate gets reversed, that's the biggest anti-climax in sports history, right?

Terrible goal to give up at a terrible time. Liverpool feel more fragile than I can recall in ages and Martinez gave them a free one. Awful, self-inflicted wound.

Still, tighten up the passing in the back & base of midfield and it's there for the taking. It's only 3-4 passes to break Rogers loose.

My least scientific Villa opinion is that Kamara is always better when his hair is loose and flying. #avfc

My Premier League take for the weekend is that Declan Rice is extremely good and would be much, much cooler if he got a decent haircut. Even just a Roy Keane-style buzz cut would be a massive improvement on the Nicolas Cage bird meme thing he runs around with.

Guy number three here is cooler and more stylish working manual labor in the sky than I have ever been for a single moment in my life
Today in 1965, the last piece of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial/Gateway Arch in St. Louis was dropped into place.

Anytime I think of about it, I think of these images. Who needs safety?

Cuba and other parts of the world don't have a President Trump. Trump causes autism, quod erat demonstrandum
Trump: There's a rumor and I don't know if it's so or not—that Cuba, they don't have tylenol because they don't have the money for tylenol, and they have virtually no autism

Having watched MUFC a little bit we should be able to get $200MM for Martinez, but for fuck’s sake just get on with it one way or the other. I swear this transfer window has lasted six months. #avfc #utv

What a beautiful bear pit St. James' Park is. #NUFC have a few players I could do without and the less said about Tindall the better, but I can't take issue with the supporters. This is what football should sound like.

Gotta embellish the contact if you want to draw the yellow. He's too seasoned not to know that
Bruno Fernandes appeared to be thrown out of his rhythm after bumping into the referee before his penalty. 👀

Took a shockingly long time for Tindall to get himself on camera today #avfc

Math is math, but in practical terms "the entire US" is all but irrelevant to affordability. Have to look locally. Large investors own ~25% of ATL metro; that has a huge impact on the market. It doesn't matter if they own 0.2% in suburban Fargo, no one in ATL is looking for a house there.
Not a huge Derek Thompson fan but he's straightforwardly correct here. Financial institutions own a tiny percentage of US homes and generally rent them out rather than keeping them vacant. Preventing BlackRock from buying housing wouldn't do much to help affordability.

This is great and I thank @drewmagary.bsky.social for sharing it. I made my first trip to Yosemite this summer and had something akin to an ecstatic religious experience. I have thought about it every day since and I'm glad to walk the earth with anyone who shares the joy.

EXCLUSIVE EXPOSÉ: We’ve uncovered the shocking truth. Mamdani campaigned as a socialist and a committed progressive, but digging through his old tweets reveals that he has been tweeting for years about all the same stuff he campaigned on
thank you, muckraking journalists of the bari weiss tribune, for exposing the awesome stuff zohran mamdani has tweeted about like abolishing medical bills and seizing the property of millionaires

Listen if you still believe aliens landed in Roswell and the government is covering it up, I don't know what to tell you. By this point in the Epstein news cycle Trump would have told us everything, and every newspaper in the world would have photos of alien dicks.

Gosh it sure would be a shame if Dems just kept doing this over and over until republicans lose power
Politico & Punchbowl report House Republican leadership is shutting down the Rules Committee - which is essential for moving party-line bills on the floor - for the week rather than vote on Democratic amendments on the Epstein files.

Dems have effectively halted Republican legislation in the House:

“The radical right thinks that only white men of European descent should have any rights. The radical left thinks that everyone should have rights. It is only I, the enlightened moderate, who understands that we must meet in the middle and give many people rights - but surely not everyone."
It really is. Instead of having a commons where a moderate position is reached through interaction and consensus, we now have blobs separating to the far poles, and more extreme ideology proliferates on both sides. It's 'elective' polarization because the platform doesn't stop hate speech.
