FI Comms guy, City Councillor, dad, spouse, and musician in the far north. Pretending to be normal and failing miserably. Opinions are my own.
On the bright side, at least no one was made to feel bad about the things they got talked into on social media.

Dawson Creek budgets for 25 RCMP officers. The Province kicks in another 6 for the rural area, bringing the total detachment allotment to 31. Since I assumed office in 2018 the RCMP has managed to fill 22 of the 31 positions on average.

Bob Ross. We'd be three minutes in to hanging out and I'd start slow blinking and looking for a place to lie down.
I asked this before over at The Old Place and the answers delighted me. So again:

Who is an artist you admire who you suspect would not like you if they met you personally?

I think Peter Dinklage is fantastic. I would absolutely get on his last nerve. He'd be looking for the door while we spoke.

I'm seeing a lot of Blue Jays reels on social media and I'm really starting to feel for the guy whose most notable character trait is apparently how bad he is at running. Every time he successfully makes it to another base the commentators are gob smacked that he didn’t keel over and shit himself.

Words are wind. Anyone can say anything; claim any allegiance. If you want to know what's important to someone, watch how they spend their time, resources and energy.
Share one lesson you learned the hard way, so someone else can avoid it?

The craziest thing I learned about film and television media as an industry is that the vast majority of people working in it come from upper middle class or richer backgrounds. From a socioeconomic standpoint, it's one of least diverse ecosystems I've ever seen.

All our dads had it right making chili. It’s super easy, hard to mess up, you can do a million different variations of it, turn leftovers into other meals, you can call it your “famous chili” even if you just made normal chili. Incredible invention, the food of myths and legends.
