Considering reverting to an old practice of mine. Back when I was in school and everyone had gone off to family for the holidays I started to make chili on the 25th. Back then it was a skillet chili made with ground beef. Considering making one with stew meat this year. Opinions?

Happy Hanukkah. This year I am lighting candles for those in my family who no longer are here.

Just the threat to interfere with Venezuelan air space is an act of war I believe.
The deranged madman now threatens to blow up commercial airliners flying in and out of Venezuela.

I survived black Friday. I watched a football game. Went to the supermarket, did some food prep for family dinner tomorrow night, and engaged in no retail activities other than buying food.

I made bread today. The house still smells vaguely of yeast. This is not a bad thing.

Great suggestion. This mixup means lots of non technical people fundamentally miss what AI means in different contexts
Journalist challenge: Use “Machine Learning” when you mean machine learning and “LLM” when you mean LLM. Ditch “AI” as a catch-all term, it’s not useful for readers and it helps companies trying to confuse the public by obscuring the roles played by different technologies. 🧪

Making beef vegetable barley soup this weekend. Currently planning to put in carrots, celery, onions, mushrooms, diced tomatoes, and cabbage. Thinking I might add some kidney beans, or possibly diced potato. Any thoughts out there?

Go to your senators web page and send them a message similar to the following:
"Please do not support any legislation that reopens the federal government without guarantees to restore the ACA tax credits." We don't want the senate to pass anything that does not support the ACA.

No lying or making yourself out to be a cool kid.
Post the first record you bought.
If you can remember the shop or circumstances add that too. Local color appreciated.

Bought it at a local department store called "Two Guts"

I never look in people's shopping carts and judge them. I will occasionally play "What's for dinner?' Based on ingredients at the checkout counter. But regardless of how someone is paying, their food choices are not my business.
