Today I saw a praying mantis hanging out near the fence lizards’ favorite shady hiding place. The mantis is not big enough to eat a lizard. The lizards are not big enough to eat a mantis. But everybody is hungry.

Stochastic is the property of being well-described by a random probability distribution. Stochasticity and randomness are technically distinct concepts: the former refers to a modeling approach, while the latter describes phenomena; in everyday conversation these terms are often used interchangeably

The world's worst humanitarian disaster has just taken a massive turn for the worse, and it's getting little media attention.

Arab fighters from the RSF are now systematically slaughtering black Africans around El Fasher in Sudan. Will this be seen as genocide? The intent is certainly there.
I wonder if Stop The War are interested in Sudan
