This is a full purge of every single LGBTQ employee at the NSA. Rufo is falsely mischaracterizing a LGBTQ employee resource group as a "sex chat" to create pretext to fire every single member in it.

This is a playbook they will run to purge the entire federal government.

To answer some quick questions about my latest story:
- It does not apply to the Visa Waiver Program as far as I can see
- It does not impact American citizens
- The ban exclusively impacts transgender foreigners seeking visas in the United States
- It is far more extensive than reported elsewhere
1. Major exclusive breaking news: Marco Rubio may have just banned trans foreigners seeking visas with correct gender markers from US Entry.

A new cable, effective immediately, says visas must contain assigned sex at birth and should be rejected if they don't.

A new state department cable, meant to target transgender athletes, indicates a potential broader application to all transgender visas, which it states must contain "sex at birth."

Can we pinpoint when exactly people started going to the movies in pajamas dragging blankets along with them? I need to know the last time that Snuggie was washed.

We need an outline of crisis scenarios in which everyday people will be fucked over (and how) because of the evisceration of government agencies. Most people have no idea what any of these cuts or firings mean for them.

it’s hard not to feel disillusioned when reporting all the flagrantly illegal and terrifying things this government is doing somehow doesn’t fully break through to the mainstream. it feels like cable news and corporate media made a deal to convince people to keep calm and carry on.

While in this period of job hunting, I’ve been working to write more regularly for myself. Here’s my take on what made the #grammys hit the way they did last night, and what it says about this moment we’re all living in.
the grammys offered a glimpse of a kinder, gayer alternate reality.
For once, the Recording Academy sort of understood the assignment.

Just renewed my drivers license for RealID. I advise every transgender person, just as I did with passports, to not wait to renew your ID. Get that done now - many states let you do it online, schedule appointments, etc.

Don't get caught flat footed if/when Trump turns RealID against us.
