Wins for renewable energy and climate!
"One side wanted to stick with the Trump agenda — trying to ban clean energy and focusing on fossil fuels — and one side was trying to lower costs and implement clean energy strategies. And the results speak for themselves.” @nickwabraham.bsky.social

Clean, affordable energy won BIG on Tuesday.
Promises of lower energy bills win big on election day
Democrats who campaigned on energy affordability swept key races in New Jersey, Virginia and Georgia.

Hurricane Melissa could be one of the most worst hurricanes on record for Jamaica...and it's a textbook example of how climate change is making hurricanes more dangerous: explosive intensification, slow movement, and massive rainfall.

David Ansel, VP of our Center for Water Protection, spoke at a press conference Tuesday in Northport, urging Gov. Hochul to sign the Horseshoe Crab Protection Act.

Encourage the Governor to provide the same protections for horseshoe crabs in NY that are already in place in CT in two ways:

Last month a federal court lifted the administration’s stop work order on Revolution Wind, an offshore wind farm that will begin delivering power to Connecticut next year. We must keep up momentum on this renewable energy source that will offer clean, reliable, and affordable power to our region.

Big oil and gas have seized the moment. By betting big on plastics, they’ve found a convenient lifeline to maintain profit margins as demand for fossil fuels declines. But plastic pollution costs Americans an estimated $249 billion annually in health-related expenses

Today hundreds of us marched over the Brooklyn Bridge with dozens of orgs, officials, &families, to tell Governor Hochul to stop the unneeded, dirty, and expensive NESE pipeline. It endangers our communities, waters and marine life off NYC, Far Rockaway, and Long Island. #stopthewilliamsnesepipeline
