Pro tip from someone who used to cover fires all the time: N95s and KN95s (and other masks) will protect against the particulate matter that will otherwise potentially get into your throat, lungs, and bloodstream and make you feel like total shit.

My husband and boys are here to get me and I told my mom we are heading home and she was like “and your bringing the kids?” and…what is the alternative though? Just leave the 7 and 9yo at the hospital? Like…what is the question? It has a weird vibe.

I walked the floor just now and like four different nurses were like uhm where are you from ARE YOU A PATIENT and I was like…yes? Since Christmas, I’ve been here! And they didn’t…believe me? I have my name on the door and have an IV and wristband and am wearing a hospital gown and hospital pants?

I have a roommate and she’s an ancient Russian lady who is sort of charming EXCEPT she keeps wiping her butt with paper towels instead of toilet paper and then leaving the shit rags in the waste basket by the toilet and I’m really not into it.
