2024 in books, I didn’t read as much this year as last year, but I also struggled with a lot of literal blindness? I read some good stuff. My faves: Starless Sea, Tom Lake, Death Valley, Between the World and Me, The Graveyard Book, Crying in H-Mart, James, Why Fish Don’t Exist

Those are my pet facts! We also had our lab/cane corso mix Cassius who died of cancer this summer and was the best, best, best boy, also it was emotionally damaging for all to have our middle aged dog die of cancer the year middle aged me has also been trying to die of cancer a lot.

Our pets are named Fresno, Pouncer, and Otto von Waffles. We also have tame but offended by the indoors cat named O’Lyons.

Different sleep aid (well, an antipsychotic with a sleep aid side hustle) seems to be doing much better. I was on this one during my steroid journey and my symptom management fdoctor recommended it as being more effective with fewer side effects than ambien.
