Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

The thing is, this is actually true. I did Model UN with a bunch of people who went on to work with Democratic politics and they were all the worst teachers-pet ass-kisses back then too

"Dems were spineless, visionless, out of touch w rank & file"

Yes. Smug. Condescending. Out of touch.

I wrote two letters pleading that smug Trudeau step down to make way for Carney, a Lib centrist to block CPC populists.

Anyhow, both 🇨🇦 & 🇺🇸 need electoral reform

It seems crucial (and long overdue) that our national political discourse has finally shifted from an obsession with "the economy" to what actually matters: whether people can afford the basic things they need to live.

The ruling declared Crown and city titles on the land are “defective and invalid,” and the granting of private titles on it by the government unjustifiably infringed on the Cowichan title.

Culture + religion (and its art, literature, music, family ties, traditions) is what makes life worth living. There is no life without culture. When has there been public life w/o culture?
Can’t we just add Eid and Diwali celebrations, traditions rather than subtract Christmas?
Old man in our local shop just told me that Tesco have removed the word "Christmas" from their mince pies so it doesn't "offend the Muslims" and I reckon that means Christmas time is now officially upon us.

Has there ever been a time in Canadian history where a political candidates verified dirty laundry has not been aired by journalists?

Public interest always weighs heavily for the courts and hard to argue there is no public interest in this case.

You know what? There's actually a tested solution to this! it is brilliantly simple, and it WORKS.

I would love to see @bsky.app and @support.bsky.team test this out.

“Everyone is treated with respect. We get along despite our differences.” 🙂
I heard some old friends at Pod Save America were in town, so I decided to stop by. As we saw this week, we can change this country for the better. But it’s going to take all of us getting organized and having honest conversations about the best way forward.

Yes. Women are bitches if we ask that men focus on the task at hand, not their desire to have a little fun. Protecting our boundaries is depriving men of the fun they feel entitled to. And now managers have access to our data so we can be targeted. If we complain, we are bitches seeking revenge.
