Probably my favourite work of ours. And it's spawned a dozen more followups in my mind I need to finish writing out!
"Edgy and twisted, Natural Born Sinners is a gripping gothic occult fiction novel, with splashes of cosmic horror and dark romance."

Ah, the "Affray" (from HG originally). Odd side note to this story: my hairdresser sold what might be that very painting/lithograph from her mother's attic some years ago. She didn't know the significance. Also the only Catholic Church left in the community is still in Riverhead. And the Lodge is...
Sectarian violence is a thing of the past in Newfoundland now. But it's good to remember that wasn't always the case. And there are people gleefully ready to use the pulpit to spark hate and violence all over again if they can.

12YO girl signed up to do “stand up comedy” at the talent show. 13YO boy decided to heckle her. Teacher started to tell the boy to leave her alone, but the 12YO comedian said “no, no, let him go, this is the closest he’s ever going to get to having a conversation with a girl.”

Most Americans don't know this, but December 26th is actually a special holiday elsewhere. I speak of course about: Chairman Mao's birthday!

It's so frustrating because like all our automation before this point was finding a solution to a problem but now we have all these solutions in search of a problem. We already have machines in warehouses, factories, and living rooms. Why do they need to look uncanny valley?

Is that good? Does that sound like they’re proud of their work?

Addendum to this thread: The weather is REALLY bad, and though my mom lives in the same community, it's not looking like we'll make it to her place for Christmas. The roads are not cleared, everything we shoveled this morning is back and then some.

So no gift for today it seems.
So we were not planning to celebrate Christmas this year. But a few months ago Michelle found a necklace she really liked in a boutique store where they make their own silver jewelry using local gemstones. It's a unique piece. And so I secretly bought it, and gave it to mom to hold onto until now /1

How do you have a climate pledge and a chat bot?

I've been dying laughing all morning and that's the best gift.
I go to give it to Michelle, all grins. She opens it up... nothing inside. Just some cardboard pieces that rattled around that I mistook for the necklace. /2

I am an old-school sort of man. I like celebrating our cherished traditions, such as: generosity to others, and crossdressing.
