I block anyone defending "genAI".

They're falling back to the right-wing retreat of "umm actually it's not pedophilia it's hebephilia".

Not linking the article, but this is so dumb. Most RPGs still don't have romance. And even the ones that do? It is almost always an optional side thing. Nobody is making you do romance! You can just not do it!

Christ I hate gamer takes.

Not of the French variety, but I can relate! Solvin' crimes with my lil' pal.
November 9, 2025 at 4:35 PM
Okay here we go, they are pretending to be a labour affiliated site to defend "AI". Mystery solved, I guess? Fucking astroturfing.
November 9, 2025 at 2:50 PM
The more I look into this, the more the entire site seems a fraud. Not only is EVERYTHING done by AI--from fonts to writing--but the only person linked is someone who once ran a NFT scam and has no connection to organized labour.

Tip jar doesn't work, so attempt to fish for labour activist data?

Playing Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity with @jmkeep.bsky.social and reminded of the dudes who said Zelda isn't a REAL game, because it's a girls game.

But y'know, they kinda have a point? The lead is a cute twinky guy. The games are packed with big, powerful women who break from beauty standards.

This is the best version of Pet Sematary. Don't argue with me.

Also the father is one of the best film men on screen. A good dad, a compassionate doctor, thoughtful, respectful of all.

Put on the movie "Livescream" and oh boy.

It's just one guy playing games, screaming, acting scared by some rather simple looking graphics. And that is seemingly the entire movie.

Did not finish.

Welp, Laszlo's harness snapped during our morning walk today. Nothin' like a good heart attack to jolt me awake!

Your Mount Rushmore of game consoles/handhelds

(Excluding the Nintendo Switch 2, because it's brand new and feels unfair to steal the spotlight from Switch 1, as a direct upgrade.)

The US: "China is an aggressive threat to the whole world!"

Also the US: "Yeah our military boys are gonna wear these."

Up next for our #horrorsky viewing, @jmkeep.bsky.social put on "Monster: The Ed gein Story". Low expectations.

First impressions: dude has to go through some extremes just to wank off.

Up next for our #horrorsy viewing, is "The Grudge". The American version of the quite excellent Ju-On: The Grudge.

We've seen this before, but I don't much remember anything from it. Other than that Sarah Michelle Gellar is in it. Which has to be worth something.

Tonight we watched "The Last Horror Movie". It was very much like a cross between "Man Bites Dog" and "Creep".

Pretty good altogether, though the core conceit doesn't work in the post-video era, alas. But it was a neat little throwback to that time!

Tonight's #horrorsky watch is: Dark Water, the original Japanese. We're continuing our Japanese horror streak of the past couple weeks.

This is a first-time watch for us! And we're going in rather blind.

This guy's haircut is doing him NO favors. Off to a rough start on that token alone.

For tonights #horrorsky watch: we're doing "Pulse" (2001).

@jmkeep.bsky.social and I watched this originally back around the time it came out. I'd thought about it repeatedly since then, but could never track it down, because I always mistakenly thought it was a Ringu sequel. A friend set us right!

Love this ratio though. Fuck Jacobin.

I got so excited in that first year, and very quickly realized they were rubbish.

Why should the Pokemon get to be free of the dread? We must all make sacrifices.

Currently watching "Savageland" (2017). It's a great horror about immigration; so-called "illegals". But it comes at things in a very unique manner, and I can't really say anything without spoiling the well crafted vision. #Horrorsky

The Toronto Star is really focusing on the important stuff since they came under conservative investor ownership, huh?
October 20, 2025 at 1:39 AM
And if you're in the market for newer east-asian horror, you should definitely check out Exhuma if you haven't already! I won't spoiler anything by saying more.

My favourite meeting room was the one from Octopussy: where the politburo sat at a giant round semi circle table that would rotate. Why? So they could more easily look at the gigantic screens that showed their military plans.
