We don’t yet have the technology to reconstitute someone already shoved through a wood chipper.
It cannot be overstated how insane and dangerous this argument is. They're saying that the government can illegally abduct and imprison people—and even admit that it screwed up!—and then remove the ability of any court to intervene by shipping the victim to a foreign gulag.

So sorry to hear of the death of the great South African liberal playwright Athol Fugard. His plays were beacons of hope, courage and decency in the dark days of apartheid. Just going to see them performed in Johannesburg and Cape Town made you feel certain the darkness wouldn’t last forever.

Ending support of US military equipment raises the question...why buy US military equipment. For decades, there was an implicit assumption that it bound the US to your security establishment i.e. you locked in US goods and received US services. This will reverberate way beyond Ukraine.
US President Donald Trump's team has ordered the termination of vital support for F-16 fighter jet jamming equipment that Ukraine has. What is important to understand is that this could deprive the Ukrainian Air Force of its most important air countermeasures.

I personally consider the boycott a success because it was a baby practice action for people who have never done that before. People got on board! They got to feel what it was like! It was easy! And when they get asked to do something next, they’ll have an experience to build off of.
