I'm neurodivergent/autistic (high functioning) and enjoy video games, electronics, instrumental music, and Japanese culture/anime/whatever. Tokusatsu especially. Huge Katsuragi, Nemona, and Amy Rose fan.

Took a gamble on an eBay listing for two Sega Pico systems, sold as is. Got them today. Can't actually test them past turning them on as I don't have any Storyware.

You know, I'm thinking I never got far in Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories back in my teen years (didn't get a PS1 until 2013) because I knew nothing about Yu-Gi-Oh. And I kind of still don't. Especially the fusion and star mechanics.

Metroid Prime's 1.0 release on GameCube had a pretty big bug: if you immediately left the room with the Phazon Elite without picking up the Artifact of the Warrior, it would despawn, causing you to softlock the game and have to start a new file.
"games used to release without any game breaking glitches" is such a lie because like every nintendo game had japanese version exclusive glitches all the time

You know, the practicality of it is probably in question, but I'm kinda surprised nobody's attempted an Everdrive-like device for the Sega Pico.

I was playing the SNES version of Batman Returns yesterday, and apparently Catwoman in the third stage boss fight has a move that does way too much damage where she does a bit of an afterimage dash. It's insane. Keep in mind, this is 90's Konami. AKA "beat the game on Hard or Mania!" difficulty....

So you mean to tell me that the character made specially for Umamusume had her own horse named after her IRL rather than the opposite? Huh. The more you know.
Happy Meek, who is actually named after the Umamusume original character, won a race to start off Year of the Horse. One more step into making her actually playable hopefully.

As someone who was holding out on Die Another Day because of the complaints I heard about it those many years ago, watching it yesterday with friends on Discord was probably the best way I could've done so.

Let this sink in. HALLMARK did a better job on something two years ago, that's only out one time a year I might add, than something meant to sit on a shelf for as long as you want it there.
My haul from Christmas (we did gifts yesterday) was a set of Power Coins/Dino Medals off of Etsy, a $20 Nintendo eShop card, a $30 Steam card, a new pair of winter gloves, a shirt, some toys for my cat, and the Dreamcast ornament @aaronmagica.myatproto.social brought up in an earlier post.

Can I just say that looking back, CD keys are one of the more... unintrusive kinds of DRM? It was simple, but effective.

was talking about this in a discord last night but shoutouts to the "Sega Mega Drive 3" plug and play console that, despite having full holographic SEGA license stickers and everything, is quite clearly running a bootleg multicart with repeated games.
