Gavan Type-G is in reference to the current Gavan's civilian name, Geki Jumonji. You can tell if it's Type-G if the colors on the suit itself are more multicolored and the lights that show up through the visor from time to time are blue instead of red-orange.

Okay, so the version of Gavan that is in modern stuff is not the one from the 80s. Hence why in the Go-Busters footage they used for Beast Morphers Gavan looked slightly different.

For me I remember that inspector gadget spinoff where he "visits" places around the world, which they were still rerunning in the late 2000s.

And then they cancelled Escaflowne's dub because of the subject matter.... So.... *Shrug*
