I have a friend that's a nurse and she's always standing up for safety and helping people be healthy. I can't imagine her being thrown aside by the government like this nice gentleman was. What a tragedy.

Gonna hop on this and say this is why I moved from a village of ~500 people to a city of ~760,000. Cheaper/wider availability of rent, open acceptance of queers, and access to services. That has the knockon effect of learning other cultures, more varied food, and services you didn't know you needed.
Diversity is fun and interesting. Homogeneity is bland and boring.
I don't like living in the Bay for some holier-than-thou, self-sacrificial reason.
Rather, the food is killer and I get to talk to interesting people at the park about why they moved to the US.

I realise I'm just a freak, but living in a multicultural city is the best thing of all time, it's just the best possible human experience and i can not understand why anyone on earth would be like "weve got to destroy this"

Today in why did that need to be said, an email went out rem8nding us to not use parts washers for food containers. Someone was seen doing that. We work in AEROSPACE, there are lots of bad chemicals here.
