As a Canadian, I see the general strike in Minneapolis and think, "at last they're fighting back." And then like 50 million people voted for a bag of pumpkin spice turd in a garbage bag and I remember they're always like this and that at best we can do business every few years without a new crisis.

Right? Like in another lifetime, maybe I'll own the tools and space and know how to do it myself, but this is built by a bored technician that just wants to go home and not jobhunt. That is a subject matter expert right there. That is who I want building my wheel and intricate machinery.

Also I just got a 3 spd Sturmey-Archer coaster hub on a handbill wheel for $500 CAD.

Gets an expensive thing to replace a cheap thing at a shop where the expensive thing isn't maintained so has to go to a shop with mildly scary stairs to have maintenance done.
