Cat Dad, Sports Fan, Professional Cynic, Transit Advocate, Xennial, anti-Republican. Nothing to write home about.

CT born, NY raised, Currently NC via DC/Boston.
Wait, Nasif Majeed – he who strayed away from his party to legislate transphobia in North Carolina – was born in 1945 and took office at age 73!?

I don't know what is more cooked: #NCPol for its over-reliance on the elderly or the pre-Anderson Clayton NC Dems for recruiting so many old people.

I know I am prone to simping for the unsimpable and could be prone to falling into election denial but seeing this be shared verbatim only makes things worse.

Losing was the best thing for both of their legacies and the idea of how Hillary/Kamala as President probably outweighs the reality.

If this was AGT, they would've been buzzed out halfway through.
This Capital Cities performance in the rose bowl parade is killing me it’s so bad

The 2025 Patriots are making the 1985 Patriots with Irving Fryar and knives seem quaint.

New Year's Eve isn't a federal holiday. Or a holiday for most.

Why then is there afternoon NHL and NBA action today?

I feel that I'm wasting years of life I do not deserve to have.

God loved Mike Fossey and Tatiana Schlossberg so much that he let them die at 35, their memories to be immortal long after I am allowed to die at like 95, forgotten and dementia ridden.

What am I doing wrong in life?

I have made the decision that when, not if, I am diagnosed with cancer that I will not fight it and that I will reject all treatment.

We fail cancer victims every day. I am comfortable being a cancer victim and I am comfortable with my own death.

This guy, who is not here and blocked me on Threads because I'm three steps ahead and have resigned to fighting as the only way the NC GOP will listen, raises some interesting points to save North Carolina. I do have some things to bring up though. #NCPol

Every time I have optimism about the Democrats and 2026 and North Carolina going blue, I then see cynical stuff like this.

Yes, I know I shouldn't be trolling Threads, but you know what group is never cynical. Republicans. Even in deep Blue states. #NCpol

Yea, but they’ll never have AIM. They’ll never know truly being online or offline in that binary state. Anyway, watch this @theverge.com Version History video podcast about AIM.

And yet people voted for malaise and horror. They willingly chose malaise and horror because how dare a Presidential candidate be sane and a kind human being who has emotions besides rage.
Truly. There’s just this combination of malaise and horror hanging over the country.

Remember when Mark Cuban sold the Mavericks to a billionaire bootlicker who has driven the team into the ground?
"The Nazis are nicer to me on the billionaire bootlicker site."
No shock. This app has turned my mentions, and others, into mostly hate. But there are a few people worth connecting with

CRAZY how it's easier these days to have a real discussion on X, or threads, than on here.

Let me get this straight: I can't access my mailbox while you're loading the mail even though I know which box is mine because "you can't tell who I am." And you tell me to wait 20 minutes because to load all of the mail you have to open every box.

Bravo, USPS. Bra-frigging-vo! Is this normal?

Our son bothered us for weeks about the ‘laughing marshmallow’ he saw on tv, wants to watch the show with him, etc…

We just figured out he was talking about THE PILLSBURY DOUGHBOY

I didn't have "Dan Van Kirk's Mark Wahlberg impersonation being involved in an NHL Alt Cast" on my 2025 bingo card.

TNT needs to make the Cheap Seats Alt Cast with the Sklar Brothers a more than one shot thing.

An Instagram reel that came up reminded me of this old post I made about how Democrats need to steal ideas from the right.

"There's no left wing equal to CPAC or the Heritage Foundation because we don't need one" is an excuse.

Getting off Threads really helped with my chronic ability to constantly simp for Kamala Harris as if things single handedly would've been better with her against a contrarian legislature.

I thought they put the goofy old guy from Storage Wars in charge of CBS News.

The NCGOP had an insane run of luck in the first quarter of the 21st Century.
- 2000s Dem scandals with 2008 copium.
- Dem implosion in 2010 supercharged things.
- Dems spent the 2010s rudderless, leaderless, and lost.
- COVID basically caved in the hole Dems dug themselves out of.
The state legislature here is a real problem. We are not a red state, but a purple one - but these fuckers would turn us into Mississippi if they could.

I will say the magic words I always say: Republicans, or at least Republican politicians, are the cause of all of North Carolina's problems and are just not good people.

52% of the electorate and I rarely see one who isn't rabid. Why is that? #NCPol

There's blood in the water and I think they know that they're done for. The peaceful revolution of liberals rolling over for them is never coming.

EriKKKa the Kompromat Honeypot has dead eyes and looks like an off-model knockoff doll found at a sketchy 90s dollar store.

The right wing in general seems hollow and closeted about their true selves with a massive air of self loathing.
These people all go to rich people megachurches so they have no idea how freaky this looks to normal people

2022 Elections, when the NC Dems were run by a Gerentocrat with a First Vice Chair who went MIA for months: 126/170
2026 with a Gen Z in charge and the reskeeted as First Vice Chair: this
(2024 was 168/170)

See what happens when you let those with a future lead. Let the young lead! #NCpol

I have a friend who is a pastor of a suburban non-denominational church who typically steered away from politics until the 2024 election.

He since has gotten woke because everything this regime has done goes against the concept of Christ. More people like him exist than we think.
i genuinely think we're going to have a schism in american christianity soon
