Why you should vote in municipal elections?

In 2019, 88 #ncpol elections were decided by 5 or fewer votes--67 in 2021 and 57 in 2023!

Other states like Virginia are using state funding to maintain SNAP for the short term at normal payment levels. But as I reported last week, neither the #ncga or @ncgovernor.bsky.social have suggested doing that here: www.wunc.org/politics/202... #ncpol
Update: The Agriculture Department just told the court it will use its entire emergency fund over the next month to make 50% payments to every SNAP recipient.

My office is still reviewing the order to see what else we can do to help, but we all need to give extra support our local food pantries.
