Do it! I stopped at SOB briefly and while the amusement park seems to be closed for good, the sombrero tower, shops and reptile lagoon appear to be going strong.

Side note: The new @wunc.org Laurinburg transmitter at 89.1 FM now covers all these places with public radio, which is great for nerds like me who like to catch up on news while cruising the back roads.
