A little about me and my aesthetic: I love books, cats, and the F-word, plus the LGBTQIA+ community, especially the transgender community.

For books, it's mostly sci-fi, fantasy, romance, mystery, and any combinations imaginable.

I never post to #Caturday because the cats rarely pose for photos. This morning I realized the dark void aka Lua was laying nearby. Photos of her never come out well because she's so dark. Here's how much I have to adjust the exposure to truly see her face:

I have been suffering through a Graphic Audio version of a book that seems decent, thinking it was my only option. (Via Libby) Went to Audible to see if I could buy the traditional version. 14 books in the series is a HUGE financial commitment. Checked Libby again. All 14 in traditional format.

First sunny day in our part of the UK and all three cats have been curling up in patches of sunlight. Hubby & I are jealous - it's definitely a day for napping in warm puddles of light. Tempted to pull a couch into one of those sunny pools, but the sun burns me.

Ah, another period where I can't get into any of the books I try. I want something unemotional, not "cozy" or sweet, more apocalyptic but not murder-y. Tried half a dozen sci-fi so far but nothing is scratching the itchZ

Happy Valentine's Day, #BookSky

What's a perfect book to give for Valentine's Day?

I love to gift Built to Last by Erin Hahn.

Which do you prefer?

Traditional Audiobooks or Graphic Audiobooks?

I really, really dislike Graphic Audiobooks. If I have the choice, it's always Traditional for me.

Decided to DNF an ARC. I hate doing it, but if I have no desire to finish reading even at the 50% mark, I'm not going to be doing anyone any favors by suffering through to the end.

Finally updated my website. It's so easy to get overwhelmed by reviews, but I have to remind myself that I don't have to ONLY log in to post reviews. Main page updated. Added current selfie. Updated my Projects. I posted something else, too, under the Book Reviews.

I went to an event AND spoke to strangers. I definitely would not have if my husband hadn't come along and introduced me to people.

In two weeks I attend a writing retreat where I will try to hide my RBF and interact with strangers... on my own.

HP Lovecraft is dead. Buying his books won't fund his bigotry.

Marion Zimmer Bradley is dead. Buying her books will actually fund a charity to combat abuse.

JK Rowling is not dead. Buying her books will directly help to fund her war on trans folk.

Make your choice how you spend your money.

These are the ten #BookReviews I've written recently. The reviews can be found on #StoryGraph

The two bigger #audiobooks are the two reviews that took the longest because I loved them so much and had too much to say : #TeosDurumi & #AutomaticNoodle

Finally knocked out some long overdue book reviews! They've been added to #StoryGraph but I'm going to need to space them all out on social media, my website, and all the other review places.

I now only have TWO #ARCs that are read and need reviews written! 🥳 #BookReviews #NetGalley

I caught today's migraine just when it was starting and so far (knocks on wood) I seem to have dodged the pain with just OTC Excedrin Migraine. Which is good because I keep forgetting to pick up my Rx from the pharmacy.

I need a nap, though, so fingers crossed I don't wake up with one.

Holy f^(k I did it! Finally wrote a long overdue review for a book I absolutely loved. It's not enough, and it took forever, but it's done.

One more difficult one to write and it should be smooth sailing.

I am currently rereading Teo's Durumi by Elaine U. Cho in hopes I will finally be able to put my thoughts into words for one of my proper, very belated #BookReviews

It wasn’t about who the boy was , it was about what he represents. Every child impacted by these policies carries the same fear, the same loss. That’s why the moment hit so hard. You could feel the truth of it.
