I struggle with anyone who truly believed *Han and Leia's son* wouldn't come around, or wanted him to be the ultimate big bad. That's such a fundamental misread of what Star Wars does, probably complicated by a real world hostility to redemption arcs in the Sequel years.

i just dont like the big war arcs in ds9 and babylon 5 in the late seasons as much as i do like the small weird personal stories early on in both shows.

That was fun! I really liked the music. Most of my critiques of it (I wish the other band members had story arcs too, I’m curious to actually explore the ‘are you a prisoner too?’ question— is Jinu really the only demon who has any internally outside evil?) boil down to ‘I wish this was a TV series’
I'm finally watching kpop demon hunters (very funny thing to tweet after I just talked about a criterion subscription) and my first thought is based on the lyrics, music video, and promo I assumed the song Golden would be like, an emotional climax at the end of the movie and not in the first 15 mins

something i miss about older TV shows with 22 episodes a season and sweeps weeks and earlier methods of doing arcs is the fun patchwork they end up doing when episodes need to fit together slightly out of the expected order, or when they make a plotting decision you can kind of see they regret
