This animation was an inordinate amount of work. Was it the best use of my time? Hmm. But once I had the idea I was compelled to give it a go. And what’s life for if not for satisfying creative whimsy?

So apparently the government asked a group of experts in EBM to review the work of the task force and based on that review the government has asked the task force to pause their work for a month.
The pause on the Task Force was the result of an External Experts Review (EER) by a panel of many well qualified individuals, including family docs and population specialists. www.canada.ca/en/public-he...

Ask yourself why the critical context of that EER is not mentioned in the letter… 🤔

A temporary pause can create space for expert voices and improved approaches to come forward. Let’s hope this pause leads to meaningful changes that prioritize early detection and better outcomes for all. #CanSky #CancerBS #BreastCancer #BreastDensity

I've heard of people buying Canadian flags from Amazon and other places. The best place to get your flag is from the legion (NEVER AMAZON). That way your money is going to help real Canadian veterans.

Have You Tried Text-to-Speech in Edit Mode Yet? 🎉

It’s been a week since we launched Text-to-Speech (TTS) in Edit Mode, and we’re loving the feedback!

Now, students can listen to text and PDFs as they edit, giving them more accessibility and independence in their learning.

Very important pause! Breast cancer screening and surveillance guidelines should be based on modern science. Thanks @kwadrans.ca! Our voices matter!
I’m proud to have played a part in advocating for the changes announced today by Health Minister Mark Holland. The Canadian Task Force’s work is paused pending the External Expert Panel’s report on CTF’s structure and processes. This brings us closer to saving thousands of Canadian lives each year.

I hate to be a downer, but this is why we need to #screen40 and offer supplemental screening for people with dense breasts - Category C and D. #CanSky #CancerBS #Manitoba Also you’re never too young to have a symptom or a sign checked out. #DemandImaging.

True for #breastcancer.
Early detection saves lives and quality of life. Get your mammogram—a few minutes of discomfort is far more manageable than the devastating news of a later-stage cancer. Demand supplemental imaging for dense breasts. #ThanksCancer #CanSky #KnowYourLemons #ThanksHank
The #1 reported reason people avoid doctor’s appointments is because they’re afraid of finding out they have a serious illness.

If you have that fear, that’s normal and you’re not alone. Also remember, there is basically no serious illness that isn’t less serious if you catch it sooner.

It’s funny to me that people will rally against vaccines as harmful, but will turn around and smoke cigarettes, or drink alcohol, which have known carcinogens in them.
