I told my therapist that I wasn’t sure if I actually trust anyone or if my pattern recognition has me trusting the probability of a behavior from others. I also added that trust feels a lot like faith to me, which is to say that both sound made up.

A lot of people in power are demonstrating that they don’t actually believe in the premise of the Declaration of Independence or the republic as a concept. They believe that some people are created superior, and it is offensive and wrong for superiors to live bound by the needs of those below them.

As someone who has spent the last decade working jobs that support minors, I can’t help but see the movie “School of Rock” as an actual horror film when viewed through the lense of an adult responsible for other people’s kids.

"No one ever thought this would happen" is dishonest and journalists not pointing that out are doing you all a disservice. Many people said word for word this would happen. You just didn't respect those people. And you need to be honest instead of the feigned surprise for sympathy.
