Yeah, yeah…some scientists think they found proof of like on Mars based on some scientific analysis of the dirt way back when during the Viking missions.

But it’s also based on a photo taken back then that has resurfaced recently & in the comments below.
Did the Viking missions discover life on Mars 50 years ago? These scientists think so
The key to solving the mystery of the Viking results is the discovery of perchlorate on the Martian surface in 2008.

Astronomers are close to finding the 1966 Soviet lunar lander.

But they buried the headline!

The Soviet cosmonauts on that lunar lander are apparently still alive & via radio asking if communism defeated the evil capitalist western system.

AWKWARD!

Luna 9 was the first humanmade object to reach the moon in 1966.

Age Verification?

I remember:

going to Blockbuster pretty much every weekend to rent movies on VHS.

no one having cell phones or internet at home.

arcades & bookstores in every mall.

going to drive-in theaters.

Slick, waxy paper specifically for fax machines. And fax machines.
Age Verification?

I remember when touch tone phones were new

Weirdly their favorite movies space movies include:

Battle Beyond the Stars

Prometheus & Alien Covenant (bc the explorers do everything wrong)

Apollo 18 (the astronauts just winked when we asked why that was a fave)

Independence Day (but only among the astronauts that are Apple users)
We asked retired astronauts about their favorite space movies. This is what they shared with us
NASA's Artemis II mission is set to launch as early as Feb. 6, putting human spaceflight to the moon back in the spotlight after a 50-plus year hiatus which may inspire future filmmakers to explore th...

Post an underrated but iconic comic cover:

Here are some comic covers I think are iconic. I’m not sure if they’re underrated. I don’t see them referenced often or homages done as covers to other comic books. They’re for sure not underrated by me.

We are not,”becoming,” a dictator led tin-pot country controlled by the rich and manipulated by foreign interests like banana republics after WWII.

Let me correct that for you.

We are a dictator led lawless country manipulated by the rich & foreign interests like banana republics after WWII.
We’re quickly becoming a tin-pot dictator led country.

The scientists immediately put the spider on display at a NYC museum where local high schools had field trips & nerdy students were subtly encouraged by the scientists to get way too close to the spider just to see if a nerdy student would get bitten by the spider & be imbued with spider powers.

And the infant universe was not wearing a diaper so the soupy mess it made went EVERYWHERE and was REALLY stinky.
The infant universe's 'primordial soup' was actually soupy, study finds

Could you imagine the if on top of all the horrific daily news, the mission fails & there are no survivors?
